Active K9 Teams

All of these dogs have trained and/or certified with High Desert K9. These K-9’s are currently in service with law enforcement agencies and handlers across Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming.

  • Officer Nate Baker & K9 Odin

    Craig Police Department (Colorado)

    Odin is an 8 ½ year old Belgian Malinois. Odin has been with Officer Nate Baker since he was 6 weeks old, and works at Craig Police Department. Odin is trained in narcotics detection and patrol. 

  • Sergeant Kenyon Hendricks & K9 Te Kā

    Security at St. Mary’s Hospital (Colorado)

    K9 Te Kā is a female German Shepherd and was born June of 2020. She is the niece of K9 Talu who worked for Fruita Police Department. She is certified in handler protection, muzzle, tracking and human remains detection.

  • Officer Mike Boyle & K9 Tres

    North Salt Lake City Police Department (Utah)

    Mike Boyle and Tres are a K9 team working for the North Salt Lake City Police Department in Utah. They have been together since June of 2019. Tres is trained and certified as a narcotics and patrol dog.

  • Commander Deanie Earthman & K9 Umi

    Security at St. Mary’s Hospital (Colorado)

    Deanie has been involved with K9 for over 35 years. She worked for Grand Junction Police Department 1987 to 2017, 28 years of her career she was a K9 handler. She worked six K9’s during her career.

  • Deputy Aaron Clock & K9 Winston

    Routt County Sheriff’s Office (Colorado)

    Deputy Aaron Clock has been with the Routt County Sheriff’s Office almost 10 years. In August of 2021 Deputy Clock was given the privilege of being the second K9 deputy for the agency.

  • Dee Lehman & K9 Allie

    Garfield County Search and Rescue  (Colorado)

    Allie is a Colorado native girl. She is a German shepherd and will be 6 years old at the end of June.

  • Officer Tim Adams and K9 Ven

    Tim Adams is the Owner and Operator of The Next Level Canine Institute, a Kennel Located in Eastern Utah and in Las Vegas Nevada, that houses between 20-30 dogs at a time. He is currently an active LEO in the state of Nevada.

  • Keith Sanders and K9 Jynx

    Intermountain Health- St. Mary’s

    Keith Sanders began his career in law enforcement in 2001 as a 911 Dispatcher. He became a certified peace officer in 2003 when he became a deputy with Ouray County Sheriff. Keith started a successful K9 program where he worked & trained K9 Sasha a dual purpose K9.

    Intermountain Health- Lutheran (Denver, CO)

    K9 Six and I are a high drive, high focus team and we love interacting with people in a social environment, we play off each other's skills to interact with everyone in a positive way and try to brighten the day/night of whoever we make contact with.

  • Kali Henderson & K9 Kobi

    Intermountain Health-St. Mary’s (Grand Junction, CO)

    K9 Kobi is a two year old bi-colored German Shepherd born and imported from Hungary. Kobi began his career in February 2025 as a security K9 for Intermountain Health- St. Mary's.

    Brooke and K9 Moose are one of the hospital teams from Grand Junction, CO and work at St. Mary's Hospital. 

  • Officer Mark Richman & K9 Pike

    Colorado Parks and Wildlife

    Mark Richman and K9 Pike work for Colorado Parks and Wildlife's K9 Unit.  K9 Pike is German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois cross from Slovakia.  

  • Ranger Nic Cooley & K9 Sego

    Bureau of Land Management

    Sego is a two-year-old German Shepherd and Belgian Malinois mix, predominantly black with tan legs and famously oversized paws, trained in suspect apprehension, handler protection, and narcotics detection.
