Keith Sanders and K9 Jynx

Keith Sanders began his career in law enforcement in 2001 as a 911 Dispatcher. He became a certified peace officer in 2003 when he became a deputy with Ouray County Sheriff. Keith started a successful K9 program where he worked & trained K9 Sasha a dual purpose K9.
Keith then transfered to Montrose County where he was a deputy, team leader on the SRT team, Patrol Sergeant & then started a K9 program. Keith worked & trained K9 Oxx, a well known Belgian Malinois who was famous throughout Montrose County & the State of Colorado.
Keith then transfered to Delta County Sheriff where as a Sergeant he started the K9 program there working with K9 Oxx, K9 Roo, & K9 Teg a dual purpose patrol dog. Teg & Sergeant Sanders grew in popularity throughout the County. Sergeant Sanders after 24 years of service retired from law enforcement in May 2024.
Keith is now working a dual purpose K9, K9 Jynx, for Intermountain Health in St. Mary's Hospital. K9 Jynx is a patrol certified & explosive detection K9. Keith is a certifying official for High Desert Police K9 & the National Police Canine Associations. Keith is an active Instructor in both associations & has taught K9 for over a decade. Keith's favorite Instructor seminar is In Jackson, Wyoming where he gets a diverse group of K9 Handlers from all over the Western United States. Keith is currently handling his 5th K9 & is active in training & instructing K9 teams within the Intermountain Health Organization. In his spare time Keith is involved in K9 which has been his life for the past 22 years.
